Whether you're a lifelong Democrat, brand new to the party, or simply looking to meet people who care about our community, we'd love to have you join us. Bring your creativity, your laughter, and your favorite colors as we transform ordinary umbrellas into one-of-a-kind works of art that we'll proudly carry together in this summer's parades.
This is about showing up, having fun, and creating the kind of welcoming, energetic community that makes people excited to get involved. Every umbrella will be unique, just like the people carrying them, and together they'll show what a vibrant, joyful movement looks like.

The Garfield County Parade is just around the corner, and we can't wait to march with all of you! Whether you're walking with us, helping decorate, handing out candy, or cheering from the sidelines, this is one of our favorite opportunities to show our community spirit and celebrate Garfield County together.

We Want ICE Out of Our Communities!
How much more should one community have to endure before enough is finally enough?
For years, Garfield County has been at the center of controversy over the ICE detention facility in Glenwood Springs. Residents, faith leaders, and community organizations have raised concerns about how the facility has operated, including allegations that it exceeded the limits of its Special Use Permit and lacked the accountability our community expects.
After months of testimony, public meetings, and evidence presented by both supporters and opponents, the Glenwood Springs Planning and Zoning Commission voted to revoke the facility's Special Use Permit. Now, the final decision rests with the Glenwood Springs City Council.
This isn't just about one facility. It's about whether local laws matter, whether permits mean what they say, and whether our community has a voice in decisions that affect all of us.
On Wednesday, August 6, we have an opportunity to stand together and show City Council that Garfield County believes in accountability, transparency, and the rule of law. Please join your neighbors for a peaceful protest before the meeting and stay to make your presence count during public comment.
